Give the Gift of Rotary
Rotary.org

Dear Rotarian ,

For 100 years, The Rotary Foundation has been supporting the work of Rotarians like you, who find sustainable solutions to their communities’ most pressing needs. Last year alone, Rotarians partnered with our Foundation to:
  • Equip communities in Peru with water filtration systems and hygiene training to improve public health
  • Create a mobile cancer screening unit in India to lower mortality rates due to late diagnosis
  • Train midwives in rural Uganda to use ultrasound scanning to identify life-threatening conditions during pregnancy

This year we need your support more than ever as we celebrate 100 years of Doing Good in the World. See how every gift makes a difference.

Give the gift of Rotary today and be a part of the positive change Rotarians are making in your community and around the world. If you’ve made a gift recently but it has not yet reached the Foundation, I appreciate your generosity. Thank you for supporting our Foundation’s good work and your commitment to Rotary Serving Humanity.

Sincerely,

Kalyan Banerjee
2016-17 Trustee Chair
The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International

Scottish Rite Playground Visit
Members of the Signature Community Service project committee recently visited the Inclusive Playground at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. The hospital gave the group a presentation on the planning process and goals and then took the group outside to experience the playground first-hand. Richardson East Rotary Club is collaborating with the City of Richardson to bring an inclusive playground to the city.  Pictured are (L-R), Club President Bil Zeigler; Paul Nassauer (Richardson Parks Dept.); Drew Hayes (RERC member); Tom Brooks (RERC); Lori Smeby (director, Richardson Parks & Recreation); Karen Ellis (RERC); Tom Hummel (RERC); Dana Dempsey (director of Therapeutic Recreation, Scottish Rite); Michael Black (park designer, La Terra Studio); Alan Gatton (Richardson Parks Dept.); and Dan Baker (Richardson Parks).
A sneak peak at the new Rotary.org

In January, visitors to Rotary.org will discover a new, contemporary site that tells Rotary’s story in a fresh and exciting way. Rotary staff offer a look at the site’s features: a modern design, increased use of imagery and graphics, and better organization to help readers – especially newcomers – find out who we are and what we’re doing.
